Congenital (Birth related) heart disease is a major cause of morbidity and mortality in children. Every year around 240000 babies born with birth-related to heart disease. Up to 80000 babies require some intervention in infancy. The majority of heart disease is simple and fully correctable. Unfortunately, only 10-20 % of cases get medical attention and intervention. Rest are lost to care and treatment.  The babies with birth-related heart disease require timely correct diagnosis and proper intervention. The facility and expertise are limited so are the resource to take care of the young kids with heart disease. Charity is an integral part of the treatment of babies with heart disease.

The idea of “Dr. Anil Singhi Foundation” originated during the early days of Dr. Anil  Singhi in the Institute of Mata Amritanandamayee (Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences, Kochi ). Thousands of patients used to get subsidized care with the blessing of Amma. Since the early training days in AIMS Kochi to Consultancy days in Madras Medical Mission Chennai, a charitable hospital with similar ethos Dr. Anil Singhi is associated with taking care of small kids with passion and devotion. He was part of multiple national and international screening camps for the treatment of babies with birth-related heart disease Aim and Objective.
